Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship unveils unmissable entertainment schedule
Spectators heading to Yas Links for the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, which this year celebrates its 20th edition, can look forward to a festival of world-class golf, live entertainment, and fun for all the family, with a packed programme of activities and themed days running alongside the on-course action from November 6-9.
Following Paul Waring’s thrilling victory in 2024, this year’s field, which is open to the leading 70 players on the Race to Dubai Rankings, is headlined by five-time Major winner and grand slam champion Rory McIlroy, alongside his victorious European Ryder Cup teammates Matt Fitzpatrick, Tyrrell Hatton, and Robert MacIntyre, ensuring another unmissable week of action.
Spectators can look forward to so much more than golf, with a pulsating Championship Village offering something for everyone – from delicious food and drink to interactive golf challenges, live screens, and performances throughout the day.
The village will feature daily Trick Shot shows from the Trick Shot Boys, Get Into Golf sessions on the Driving Range plus a lively Future Falcons Zone packed with family fun including skills challenge activities, arts and crafts, puppet shows, jugglers, mime artists, face painting and a bouncy castle. What’s more, roaming band DXBrass Band and a cast of costumed performers will bring colour and character to every corner of Yas Links, while fans can also enjoy pizza making classes through the weekend.
As the sun sets, the entertainment continues with live performances from some of the region’s best-loved acts, including Irish singer, Three Down, on Thursday, Shades of Jade on Friday, The Boxtones on Saturday, and LDN Romantic on Sunday. DJ Green (Friday) and DJ Naomi (Saturday) will run the decks in the Championship Village, while DJ Hallahan keeps the music flowing in the Ticket+ Bar on Nine.
Adding even more colour to the week, Saturday 8 November will once again be dedicated to Ladies Day, bringing together golf, glamour, and great company. All women attending will receive two complimentary drinks on arrival, before settling in to enjoy a day of live music, entertainment, golf and a touch of sparkle courtesy of the on-site glitter station.
Whether taking on a friendly challenge at the golf simulators, sampling flavours from the many food trucks, or simply soaking up the sunshine from the spectator areas and live screens, it promises to be a celebration both on and off the course. Saturday will also feature the Future Falcons Challenge Prize-Giving in the afternoon, celebrating the next generation of golfing talent.
On Sunday November 9, Family Fun Day will round off the Championship in true style, offering something special for every age. Children can enjoy free ice pops on arrival (subject to availability) before diving into a host of interactive experiences.
The Future Falcons Zone will be brimming with fun, from a bouncy castle to arts and crafts, face painting, puppet shows and jugglers. Parents and youngsters alike can test their skills at the golf simulators or putting challenges, while a tempting selection of food and drink trucks and dedicated family zones ensure a relaxed, inclusive atmosphere to close out the week in memorable fashion.
